Part of a collection of rare time pieces is a watch that was owned by Dr. Rajendra Prasad – the first President of Independent India. the 18 karat pink gold Rolex is decorated with the map of India and has the date 26th January 1950 inscribed on it. The date is the day that India got its constitution and became a republic in its own right. The watch could sell for as much as $444,000 though lower estimates are of $222,000. It is hard to put an exact value on the watch given that this is the first time that it has come on the market.
