‘Most Expensive Car’ being displayed in a museum : Bugatti Atlantic
You have read about ‘mst expensive’ tags almost on a daily basis on this blog. And something that is as common place as a car has contenders for this tag almost on a weekly basis. We could go over it if you like, the most expensive car in the world that was purchased by an Australian, the Pagani Zonda Cinque which bragged about the same tag, The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento which has been the latest claimant. However this classic beauty of a Buggati is the most expensive car purchased in a public sale.

The price-tag? A whopping $40 million. Its a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic and is one of only four ever built. This Bugatti, built in 1936, was first owned by Lord Victor Rothschild of London who ordered it in light blue with a dark blue interior. Of the four Type 57SC Atlantics, this car is often said to be the most original and true-to-form.
The Mullin Automotive Museum will begin displaying the car this summer.
