  • Star Wars Original Acetate Crawl goes for a stunning $40,000

    | Posted in Others

I am stunned because , it is obvious that this was not a well publicised auction. Given the leagues of Star Wars fans, this original acetate crawl that would be recognised by any geek or sci-fi buff on the whole planet sold for a mere $40,000. The estimates were $15k-$20k which were way too low IMHO.

Either someone lucked out with the acetate crawl or I am an even bigger fan of Star Wars then I suspected. This original acetate crawl was used in the beginning of ‘Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back’.

The auction was held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California.
