Foo Fitch : Fancy some Diamonds on your cutlery ?
Fee-fi-fo-fum , I smell the blood of an Englishman went the Giant in the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk that has enthralled kids since decades. Turns out, the Giant got it right because it is indeed an Englishman who has created the Foo Fitch.

Professional Jeweller Nick Fitch has created this £5000 set of cutlery which consists of the usual fork , spoons and noodles too – with diamonds encrusted on them. Luxury tablewear manufacturer Arthur Price was roped in by Fitch to create the cutlery set named as ‘Foo Fitch’. The set even includes chopsticks rests to hold them while not in use.
The utensils are all silver coated and embellished with Kimberley Process-certified diamonds with diamond pavé detailing on the handles. A classic 17th century British design has been used to create the cutlery. Single solitaire diamonds have been set into the designs too.

Nick claims that the collection has been inspired by the fusion food that the average city dweller of this century enjoys. Apparently meant only for oriental food, this set contains no knife which as Nick tells us should never be needed on the table as far as Oriental food is concerned.
Harrods is currently stocking the diamond encrusted Foo Fitch for a price of £5,000 ($8200).
