  • Gucci outs a 100$ Japan Relief Bracelet

    | Posted in Gadgets

Say Gucci, and we are ready to buy. Say $100 in the same sentence and you have a deal. That is the sort of fan following that Gucci has internationally. Thankfully, Gucci is using its name for a great cause this time – one that we have absolutely no qualms in throwing our full support behind.

Gucci has debuted a 100$ bracelet, but in true Gucci fashion – its a limited edition. Proceeds from sales will be sent to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Featuring a women band in red and white, the colors of the Japanese flag, the one-size-fits-all buckle bracelet boasts a round silver pendant inscribed with the sentiment, “Gucci loves you.” There’s also white leather on the lining and trim, as well as a buckle in the shape of Gucci’s iconic horsebit.

The charity bracelet will debut at Gucci stores throughout Japan this Saturday, followed the week after by worldwide distribution in Gucci flagship stores across the United States, Europe and Asia.

Gucci has already managed to raise close to $3 Million for the effort along with its other brands.

While it has been more than a month since the earthquake, most people fail to understand the magnitude of the disaster. It is all the more worse since Japan is a densely populated country and the destruction has been described as tremendous. Iraqi Veteran soldiers who went there to help were reported to have said the destruction was much worse than anything they had witnessed in Iraq.
