Armand de Brignac Champagne sold for £80,000 : Most expensive record for champagne
Sold for a record 80,000 pounds ( $130,000) ; the Armand de Brignac or ‘The Ace of Spades’ was just one of two bottles in existence. Each bottle takes about six months to create since each is hand crafted by eight expert glass artisans. The bottle was sold at OneForOne – a boutique night club known to be frequented by celebrities and jet setters. The bottle was purchased by an unknown European businessman. The club refused to comment on the identity of the guest who purchased and consumed the drink with his company.
The boutique nightclub created and designed for those who want the best in service. Guests enjoy private rooms, an individual host for each table and details such as lockable under table drawers.
The huge bottle required two staff members to carry it each time someone asked for a refill.
The club is now considering ordering a case of the bottles given that this one was sold in just a day of arrival.
