Now that they’re back together former minor league American baseball star Doug Reinhardt is wooing Paris Hilton with lavish gifts. The former athlete turned reality TV star knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend and he’s giving Paris plenty of them.

The couple who recently rekindled their relationship after splitting in June is currently enjoying a business vacation in Europe and was recently spotted together at the Venice Film Festival. “We are having such a lovely time,” stated Paris. “Venice is such a beautiful city and the shopping is amazing. Loves it!” On Friday, Doug reportedly took Paris shopping. Witnesses say that the ‘Hills’ star treated the hotel heiress to jewels from Cartier. An onlooker revealed: “Doug whipped out his black Amex card and took Paris on a major shopping spree. They went to Cartier where he bought her the entire diamond panther collection of rings, necklaces, and bracelets. He topped it off with the diamond-encrusted Cartier LOVE bracelet, which cost a cool $80,000. Doug told the salesman that money was no object, and he wanted to make his girl happy. Paris loves being treated like a princess.”
