  • The $13 Million Dollar Woman’s Day

    | Posted in Others

A man in Kazakhstan ordered one million roses for his wife after a fight in an attempt to make up with her. The occasion was International Woman’s Day and the inspiration was a romantic pop song from the erstwhile USSR. The cost would be anything from $3 million to $13 million (depending on the quality) though it goes without saying that the man has been able to get himself a bulk buyers discount.

The $13 Million Dollar Woman’s Day

The one million Dutch rose order was placed with a florist in the city of Kyzylorda in southern Kazakhstan with a delivery date of March 8.

The song in question is Million Roses by Soviet pop diva Alla Pugacheva in 1982. We managed to track down a copy of the song on youtube :

The song sold more then 6 million copies as a single. We are trying our best to get some images of the million roses being delivered and the woman’s reaction ; so just keep your fingers crossed that someone in Kazakhstan was at the right place at the right time.
