Being cultivated by Golden Woodo in Korea, the demand for these gold peanuts is so strong that it is far outstripping the supply. The peanuts are supposedly economical to grow due to the branding possibilities as well as the price of 12,000 won ($10) for 180 grams (0.4 lb). The peanuts are fed on a diet of gold infused water solution thrice a day. The water which is made by Shinemetal uses a patented technology to infuse nano particles of gold from gold bars and mixed with a water solvent which can be absorbed by the plants through the roots. The resulting product of peanut has 2.09 milligrams of gold per kilo.
