One may think that Japan has recovered completely from the earthquake and tsunami that devastated it last year , but the extent of destruction was so much that victims still need all the funding that they can get. Designer Paul Draper has created a special Tsunami ring using palladium which shall be sold at an auction by Christies in May, with profits going towards victims of Japan’s Tohoku Earthquake.

Old timers keep complaining that the new generations have no love for poetry. Authors such as Ernest Hemingway are all but unknown to the current school going generation. However if the value of their first editions are considered then these literature treasures have no cause for worry. A rare edition of Ernest Hemingway’s first book, Three Stories & Ten Poems(1923) has just sold for $81,250. The book is one of just 300 copies that were printed at the time.
