  • Limited Edition Timepiece from Montblanc sells for $90,000

    A few months ago, we had written about a special limited edition time piece that had been created by Montblanc for use by Emirates for charity. Well, that timepiece which was from the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec TimeWriter Collection sold for a winning bid of $90,000. The money has been designated to be donated to two charities – The Smile Train and the Emirates Airline Foundation.

    The watch itself is a thing of beauty. It is a a two-tone dial design in 18 carat red gold created to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the chronograph. The winner has chose to remain anonymous. A total of 87 bids were received for the prize. The winner also gets a First Class Emirates flights and a two-night stay at the luxurious Montblanc Chateau, LeLocle, nestled in the mountains of the Swiss Jura.

    All Emirates customers were allowed to bid on the watch with a starting bid of $45,000.
