Michael Jackson’s family is leaving no stones unturned to make sure that the King of Pop has a royal departure and a grand funeral. They have reportedly chosen a custom made $25,000 casket to bury the ‘Thriller’ hit maker.

The casket was ordered from Batesville Casket Company and is called ‘The Promethean’. The casket is made from solid bronze and is plated with 14kt gold. This gold casket features a dark blue velvet interior and a hand-polished mirror finish. The same solid bronze casket has been used to bury James Brown, who was Jackson’s idol. Staples Center will be the site of the public memorial service on Tuesday for Michael Jackson.
