Gold and Crystal Coins for the Royal Wedding
Will and Kate may have moved on with their lives after the grand wedding, but the rest of the world certainly has not. Canada has just released coins with $200 face value (but which actually cost $1200) which for once have even tempted me to grab one for myself.
Unlike other limited edition coins, this one is not just made of gold but also comes with a white crystal studded into it. The coin features the profiles of Prince William and his bride Kate.
The gold used in the coin is 22 karats. The coin follows other coins that have already been released but is meant to commemorate the visit of the newly weds to Canada (currently ongoing).
