China launches its most Luxurious Sight Seeing Ship : The Golden Imperial Court

Boasting of two Golden Dragons (or is that a phoenix?) that promise to take care of any pirates foolish enough to venture within fire breathing distance, the Golden Imperial Court is a truly impressive ship. The sigh seeing ship is to be used inland rivers within china and take tourists along the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. The boat cost over 33 million yuan to construct (USD $5.19 million) which is amazing since construction costs are as cheap as they can get in China.

The Golden Imperial Court is 60 meters long, 16 meters tall and 16 meters wide. The boat has been constructed by the Chongqing Huidong Shipping Limited Company and is the first sight seeing boat to be equipped with an elevator inside. It also meets 5 star standards (which are usually applicable to hotels) according to chairman Chen Jinbi.

The dragon and phoenix at the front will spray water or flames at night to delight the tourists. The ship has been constructed in the architectural style of an ancient imperial court.
