Made from a naturally heart shaped piece of fossilized Bali Star Coral and a combination of the worlds largest collection of naturally heart shaped pieces of rare red sea glass. The Crown Jewel of the Sea is a time piece made by stones that are more then 20 million years old.
Made and sold by Alex Carroll, the timepiece is said to be the most unique in the world since it has been crafted by nature. Amongst the large collection of limited edition series of clocks and pendants that Carroll owns, this one is said to be most perfect. The Crown Jewel is on sale at the upcoming auction next week along with the rarest necklace in the world which has a gold encased pendant made with one of the most perfect specimens of naturally heart-shaped red sea glass ever found.
Carroll promises that the millions (that he hopes the auction of the Crown Jewel of the Sea as he has named the timepiece and the rarest necklace in the world – his words, not ours ; especially since we have no expert opinion on this) raised will be entirely donated to charity. The lucky bidder will even get to select which charity the proceeds are given to.
According to Carroll, Prince William has expressed interest in the timepiece for his gift to Kate for this 14th of February. However given the condition of the economy, we seriously doubt that William is planning any multi-million dollar gift. Especially since Carroll thinks that this time piece will break previous records of being the most expensive clock to date (current record being held by Sotheby’s for $5.7 million).
In any case, the timepiece looks stunning and we promise to keep you updated on the results of the auctions. The starting bid in the auction for the Crown Jewel of the Sea is $1 Million. Head on to Heart Stones for more.
