    Philanthropists Team Up To Eradicate Polio

    Some of the world’s biggest philanthropists have joined forced in a deal that moves closer to total eradication of global polio, according to reports in Forbes.com. The announcement that the world’s richest man Carlos Slim was to join the Global Polio Eradication Initiative to the tune of $100m was welcomed, as he becomes the latest in a succession of large donors to turn their money to the cause of eradicating polio altogether.
